It was well past midnight as Thor was walking outside in nothing more than a coat and a Viking costume that he had received from Tony. He had been partying with his fellow avengers at Stark-tower, but had not enjoyed himself much. After several hours, as the others were too drunk to notice his absence, he had slipped out to clear his head.

It was exceptionally cold for the time of the year as he walked past silent houses. Occasionally he would see another person, but with no pubs to attract people, it was naturally quiet. He was thankful for the silence that had been giving, because it helped him think. He wondered what was wrong.

The first thought that slipped into his mind was his brother and that pretty much was the problem, he realized. It had been months since he had taken Loki to Asgard. During that time he had worked hard on earning the trust and had received enough of it to be comfortable and happy.

Yet he felt awful for leaving Loki home alone now. The others still didn't trust him and he kept hiding himself from sight. And Thor had left the castle without any explanation, leaving an invisible, unsure and unstable Loki alone with gossiping, unforgiving Asgardians. He feared that the little bond they had created would be destroyed by his selfish act.

He began to walk even slower as he blamed himself for all the bad that was happening to Loki and for abandoning him. Yet as some people greeted him, he always looked up and smiled back. Until a man fully cloaked only looked up and brushed his arm. He stopped walking immediately. Eyes widening.

"Loki!" He called out as he jogged after the man who turned around after some time.
"You mean me, sir?" He asked and Thor was forced to apologize as it was a young man, but not his brother.
"I apologize. I am afraid I have had too much mead to drink and though you were someone else."
"I guess so man." The stranger only agreed as he turned back around and left.

Thor sighed as he too turned around and retraced his own steps.
"So you are capable of feeling remorse?" A voice asked and Thor immediately spun around.
Indeed on a bench, cloaked by the darkness sat a dark figure.
"Loki?" He asked, a bit more careful this time.
He did not want to confuse another Midgardian.

"Yes" Thor heard the man whisper and immediately began to smile.
"I apologize, brother. I should not have abandoned you without explaining where I left too."
"You seem to forget there is only one person on Asgard I follow, Thor. I was aware of your location." He walked towards Loki who still refused to show himself, keeping his head low and avoiding the street lights.

"Brother, why do you hide?"
"You truly are dense, are you not? I am still blue, Thor, I am therefor unable to walk around freely."
"But it is the day of Halloween. The man of iron has told me that on this day everyone dresses up."
"I am not a costume, Thor! This is my skin." Loki hissed and Thor flinched as he remembered how easily offended his brother was on the subject.

Both remained quiet for some time. Neither feeling the need to say something to the other. And finally Thor felt at peace. He would love to take his brother with him to Stark-tower, but letting him meet some drunken avengers would not be his best idea, ever. So as more time passed, he laid his head on his brother's shoulder.

"Thor, what are you doing?" Loki warned in a low hiss.
"I am merely tired. I wish to rest my head for some time."
"And do care to explain to me why I am the victim of your lack of sleep?"
"You're nice, warm and I like you."

Thor never got an actual response, he only heard a huff as his brother shifted a bit so his head could rest more comfortable on his shoulder. They watched people pass, most of them dressed up and several too drunken to walk a straight line. Witches, ghosts, vampires, werewolves and even some avengers passed them as they remained on the bench.

"I truly am sorry." Thor whispered.
"I am aware… Let us return home?" Loki asked.
Thor nodded on his brother's shoulder as both stood up.
"Why do we not try this trick or treat for once, Loki?" He suddenly asked as they walked past some houses where there were still some lights on.

"The sun is mere minutes away from rising and you wish to ring Midgardian doorbells?" Loki asked surprised at the thundergod's mischievous idea.
"I had forgotten." Thor admitted, a bit ashamed as he looked away.
"I shall blame it on the ail, shall I not?" A small spread on Loki's face and it brighted his whole day and night.

"Let us return home now. I truly am tired from following you around all night and watching you sulk."
"You have been following me the whole evening?"
Loki only smiled a sneaky grin as took Thor's hand and flashed them both back to Asgard.
I am tired. I was startled by a sudden black cat on DA. I feel stupid for having to search a translation for "startled". I fail at online buying. I am lying on the couch like a dead person. I trully wanted to make a halloween fic (which I have failed and did not have time to check on spelling.).
AND I have been watching way too much Smosh (good lord, those raps of Zelda and Assassin's creed... They're addictive Oo).

BUT STILL
I present thee, a Thorki halloween fic.
btw.: yes, i'm incapable of writing something without sadness =P
